If you wish to donate your car, house or any other asset to CLC, please contact our Finance Office. The details are below.

While gifts for the ministry, its workers or any CLC project can be sent to us by cheque, BACS or even given over the counter in any of our shops, you can also give securely online via the charity Stewardship. And you have the option to GiftAid your donation. Each of the links below will take you to give.net

For now, there are four possible destinations for online and posted donations. Just click the link and you can find out more about each one...

1. Supporting CLC ministry here in the UK
This helps cover operating costs such as utilities, repairs, internet, legal fees and so on, enabling more funds to be re-invested in resourcing the Church and its members in their life and ministry

2.  Financial support for CLC missionaries
CLC's non-employed workers have a strong sense of call to this ministry and have decided to trust God, through His people, for their daily needs. Your needed support enables them to continue serving in this way.

3.  Shop-in-a-Box Project
A novel way to create sustainable bookshops overseas is not to invest in bricks and mortar. Find out how CLC does it by clicking the link.

4.  Vehicle fund for CLC Inverness
Our small fleet of cars is aging. An suitable injection of capital would enable us to purchase newer, greener diesel estate cars with better fuel consumption and lower running costs. These vehicles are used for visiting our centresand for providing bookstalls up and down the country.

Thank you so much for supporting CLC people and ministries!!
===============================

CLCers are really passionate about making Christ-centred books available so that people come to faith and maturity in the Lord Jesus Christ. This aim is realised for individuals and communities around the world thanks to the purchases and the faithful and generous giving of our partners in mission. Together we’ve ensured that the word of God has been sown in many lives and through diverse channels and media both here in the UK and overseas. Thank you!

HOW YOUR GIFTS / LEGACIES / DONATIONS ARE USED

If you are praying about supporting a CLC person, project or ministry via a one-off or a regular gift and need more information, please contact the National Director in the first instance.

  • DESIGNATED INCOME
Gift income in cash or kind
     is
used 100% as indicated by the donor, whether for a CLC person, ministry, project or to help cover operating costs. You can be as specific as you like as to how you wish your gift to be used.
  • NON-DESIGNATED INCOME
Gift income in cash or kind
that arrives without a specific use will normally go into the General Fund, though the charity may contact the donor or their agent for clarification/direction. This fund is never supplemented by transfers from the charity's own assets.
Importantly, this fund transfers a tithe of its income to the Supplementary Support Fund, which exists to give limited but sometimes ongoing financial help to fulltime CLCers going through particular hardship.
Gifts can be made directly to the Supplementary Support Fund as follows:
    • by cheque payable to CLC Supplementary Support Fund and sent with a note to the address below
    • by BACS transfer direct to
sort code: 405040, Account name: CLC Supplementary Support Fund, Account number: 00010305

From the residual balance in the Geneal Fund, a montly allowance of £90 is paid out to the qualifying non-salaried CLCers who desire to receive it. This allowance has a limit so that any excess in the fund can be carried forward. Neither of these two funds is intended or offered as a source of regular income. They are a help, nothing more, as their balance depends totally on third party income.

Nothing is deducted from any cash gift for administrative reasons. Where an asset is given to the charity (eg a house or car), the costs in realising the asset may be deducted from the net income.

Thank you for considering CLC in your will.

If you are wondering as to how best your legacy can be used, please contact us. If its use is not specified, it will be used for the support of our UK team members (i.e. the General Fund, as described above).

Whatever your gift...... Gift Aid it : Gift Aid it : Gift Aid it : Gift Aid it : Gift Aid it : Gift Aid it .......

If you are a UK taxpayer, CLC can increase the value of your gift by claiming back the tax you have paid. Please see
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/charities/gift_aid/basics.htm
for more information

Please use a Gift Aid form to increase the value and effectiveness of your gift/donation. Forms are available upon request from the address below.
Alternatively, you can use this text when you send a covering note with your gift.
‘I confirm I have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for the current tax year (April 6th to April 5th) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all the Charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) that I donate to will reclaim on my gifts for the current tax year. I understand that other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify. I understand the charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I have given"

If you give to CLC online using the Stewardship links (directly above or abolve and to the right) you can easily opt to gift aid your donation.

For simplicity's sake, all cheques can be made payable to CLC International (UK), even when the gift is for the CLC Supplementary Support Fund.
